Ingredients

For Paneer Tikka

    • 250g paneer (cottage cheese)
    • 1 cup hung curd
    • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
    • 1 tsp cumin powder
    • 1 tsp coriander powder
    • 1 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp garam masala powder
    • Salt to taste
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
    • For Toast:
    • 6 slices of bread
    • 2 tbsp butter
    •  1 tsp chaat masala
    • tsp red chilli powder
    • |lt to taste

Instructions:

For Paneer Tikka:

  • cut paneer into small cubes and keep aside.
  • in a bowl, mix hung curd, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt, oil, lemon juice, and chopped coriander leaves to make a marinade.
  • Add paneer cubes to the marinade and mix well. Keep it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, take the paneer out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Thread the paneer cubes onto skewers and place them on a baking tray.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Flip the skewers halfway through the cooking time to cook the paneer evenly.

For Toast:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Cut the bread slices into halves diagonally.
  • Apply butter on each slice and sprinkle chaat masala, red chilli powder, and salt.
  • Place the bread slices on a baking tray and bake for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.

To Serve:

  • Take the paneer tikka skewers out of the oven and let them cool down for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove the paneer cubes from the skewers and place them on the toasted bread slices.
  • Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.
