Ingredients
- 3 medium-sized potatoes
- 1 cup of yogurt
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Chopped coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker or pot until they are soft. Once done, peel and chop them into small pieces.
- In a pan, heat oil on medium heat and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter for a few seconds.
- Add the boiled potatoes to the pan and stir them for a minute or two.
- Add the turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Mix everything together until the potatoes are coated with the spices.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the yogurt to the pan. Stir the mixture until everything is well combined.
- Let the Dahi Aloo cook for 5-7 minutes on low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- Once done, turn off the heat and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
